Neural Therapy is a holistic treatment method that aims to regulate the body's functioning. Its goal is not only to suppress disease symptoms but also to restore disrupted processes in the body to their normal state, thus treating the root cause of the illness.
This treatment is carried out by applying injections of local anesthetics (Procaine and Lidocaine) to specific areas of the body. The effectiveness of the treatment is achieved through its direct effect on the nervous system, which is influenced by drugs. These injections affect the autonomic nervous system, regulating nerve conduction, improving tissue function by increasing blood circulation, promoting tissue nourishment, and enhancing lymphatic circulation to clear metabolic waste. Thus, it aims to support the body's ability to self-heal.
Neural Therapy is a treatment method developed in Germany in the early 20th century by two German doctors, Ferdinand and Walter Huneke. This method focuses on regulating the body's autonomic nervous system to treat pain and diseases. Neural therapy, included in reputable medical faculties such as Heidelberg University in Germany, has gained significant recognition worldwide, especially in Europe, as part of pain treatment and holistic approaches.
The pioneering figure who introduced Neural Therapy to Turkey is Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Nazlıkul, the president of the International Neural Therapy Federation (IFMANT). The neural therapy training I received under his guidance has made a unique contribution to my professional career. The knowledge and experiences I gained from Prof. Dr. Nazlıkul have formed a valuable foundation for improving the quality of service I provide to my patients and developing my neural therapy practices.
It is applied by injecting diluted local anesthetic-containing physiological saline into specific areas of the body.
A detailed medical history is taken, and a comprehensive examination is performed, taking into account not only the area of complaint but also other possible factors, followed by the implementation of neural therapy sessions using the appropriate method.
The number and frequency of sessions may vary depending on the patient's needs, condition, symptoms, and response to treatment.
Ideal sessions should be applied at intervals of at least 72 hours.
It is a regulatory treatment that can be applied to patients of all ages, including children and the elderly.
It can be applied to pregnant and lactating mothers.
Conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and medications taken by the patient do not interfere with treatment.
Caution should be exercised in some applications for those using anticoagulant (blood thinning) medications.
Neural therapy is not applied to patients with myasthenia gravis.
